Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my blog.  I have eclectic tastes–Tudor England, the US Civil War, bluegrass music, historical fiction, Robert Frost, Louis Aragon’s love poetry, children’s literature…I could go on and maybe will as I get the hang  of this blog.  I’ve lived abroad and traveled a bit already thanks to school and my old job.  I’m fascinated by history, languages and bilingualism.  I think travel opens the mind but living abroad makes for an even richer experience–if you have the opportunity to study abroad, don’t let it pass you by!  Travel as much and as often as you can!  Save your money and you can do it!  You can even travel with small children!  Do not be afraid! It can be done!  Our girls are the proof! LOL (Transatlantic trip to the USA–a couple of ugly looks when we sat down with the girls but everything worked out great!)
