Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I’m 32, married, mother to two wonderful little girls and a tea and chocolate addict…rainy days find me soaking in my bathtub and reading! Well, perhaps I should say, rainy weekend days so that my husband can watch the girls. I know books and bathtubs shouldn’t go together but I can’t resist! I have eclectic tastes–Tudor England, the US Civil War, bluegrass music, historical fiction, Robert Frost, Louis Aragon’s love poetry, children’s literature…I could go on and maybe will as I get the hang of this blog. I enjoy baking, cross-stitch and creating things with my hands…obviously, I like traveling, postcards and Japan.
I’ve lived abroad and traveled a bit already more thanks to school and my old job. I’m fascinated by history, languages and bilingualism. I think travel opens the mind but living abroad makes for an even richer experience–if you have the opportunity to study abroad, don’t let it pass you by! Travel as much and as often as you can! Save your money and you can do it! You can even travel with small children! Do not be afraid! It can be done! Our girls are the proof! LOL (Transatlantic trip to the USA–a couple of ugly looks when we sat down with the girls but everything worked out great!)
